Over 1.5 million flights were carried out in Turkey in 2019, which is 0.6 percent more compared to 2018, Trend reports referring to Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure.
In the reported period, there were 839,850 domestic flights and 713,651 international flights.
The number of domestic flights decreased by 5.9 percent, while the number of international flights increased by 9.5 percent in 2019, according to the ministry.
During the reported period, a total of 546,224 flights were carried out at three main airports of Turkey - Sabiha Gokcen, Esenboga and Antalya airports.
