As many as 175,493 commercial flights were carried out in Turkey in January-February 2020, which is 2.7 percent less compared to January-February 2019, Trend reports referring to Turkey's Transport and Infrastructure Ministry on March 11.
According to the ministry, 93,785 of the commercial flights were domestic, while the remaining 81,708 were international.
“The number of domestic commercial flights decreased by 9.4 percent, compared to January-February 2020, while the number of international ones increased by 6.9 percent,” the ministry said.
A total of 61,143 commercial flights were carried out at three main airports of Turkey - Sabiha Gokcen, Esenboga and Antalya airports in January-February 2020.
