Turkey's export to Turkic-speaking countries increased by 14.9 percent from January through March 2020 compared to the same period of 2019, amounting to $1.1 billion, Turkey’s Ministry of Trade told Trend.
Over the reporting period, Turkey’s export to Turkic-speaking countries amounted to 2.8 percent of the country’s total export.
The export of Turkey to Turkic-speaking countries increased by 1 percent in March 2020 compared to the same month of 2019, reaching $404.1 million.
In March 2020, Turkey’s export to Turkic-speaking countries amounted to 3 percent of the country’s total export.
Turkey’s import from Turkic-speaking countries dropped by 3.9 percent from January through March 2020 compared to the same period of 2019, exceeding $787.1 million.
Over the reporting period, the import of Turkey from Turkic-speaking countries amounted to 1.4 percent of the country’s total import.
In March 2020, Turkey’s import from Turkic-speaking countries increased by 1.9 percent compared to March 2019, amounting to $257.5 million. Meanwhile, import from Turkic-speaking countries amounted to 1.4 percent of Turkey's total import.
Turkey’s foreign trade turnover in March 2020 exceeded $32.2 billion. In March 2020, export from Turkey decreased by 17.8 percent compared to March 2019, exceeding $13.4 billion.
Turkey's import increased by 3.1 percent in March 2020 compared to the same month of 2019 and exceeded $18.8 billion.
From January through March 2020, Turkey’s trade turnover exceeded $98. billion.
During the reporting period, the export of Turkey decreased by 4 percent compared to the same period of 2019, reaching $42.7 billion. Meanwhile, Turkey’s import increased by 10.3 percent compared to the same period of 2019, exceeding $55.6 billion.
The foreign trade turnover of Turkey in 2019 amounted to $374.2 billion.
