The value of carpet exports from Turkey to Azerbaijan has grown in the first 5 months of 2021, the Turkish Ministry of Trade told Trend.
According to the ministry, this indicator made up over $2.8 million, thus having risen compared to the period from January through May 2020.
In May 2021, Turkish exports of carpets to Azerbaijan increased by 17.1 percent on annual basis, amounting to $391,000.
Overall, in the first 5 months of this year, Turkey exported carpets worth more than $1.3 billion to international markets, which is a growth of 55.1 percent compared to the same period of 2020.
In May 2021, Turkey’s export of carpets made up over $245.5 million, which is 109 percent more compared to the same month of 2020.
Over the past 12 months (from May 2020 through May 2021), Turkey’s carpet exports totaled over $3.07 billion.
