The trade turnover between Turkey and Azerbaijan from January through May 2021 increased, the Turkish Trade Ministry told Trend.
According to the ministry, this indicator amounted to $1.2 billion, up by $292.8 million compared to the same period of 2020.
In May 2021, Turkey’s exports to Azerbaijan amounted to $144 million, and imports from this country – more than $35.5 million, the ministry said.
Meanwhile, the trade turnover between the two countries decreased by $411,000 compared to the same month of 2020, amounting to slightly over $179.5 million, the ministry noted.
In the first 5 months of 2021, exports from Turkey to Azerbaijan amounted to $835 million, and imports - $365 million, added the ministry.
In 2020, trade turnover between Turkey and Azerbaijan increased by $187.2 million compared to 2019, amounting to $2.22 billion. At the same time, Turkey’s exports to Azerbaijan amounted to $1.85 billion, and imports - $366 million.
