Some 13,759 cars were delivered from the Turkish port of Mersin to the Italian port of Trieste, and 14,022 cars were delivered in the opposite direction from January through August 2021, Trend reports via Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure.
Thus, transportation between the two ports during the specified period amounted to 27,781 vehicles.
The ports of Turkey from January through August 2021 handled 1.3 million cars. Ro-Ro cargo ships delivered 519,300 vehicles to Turkish ports during the reporting period.
About 826,253 vehicles were sent from the ports of Turkey by Ro-Ro ships from January through August 2021.
In total, 156,840 cars were handled by Turkish ports in August. This month, Ro-Ro ships delivered 47,278 vehicles to the ports of Turkey. At the same time, 109,562 cars were sent from the ports.
