The cargo turnover of the Turkish Gaziantep Airport amounted to 12,430 tons from January through August 2021, which is 31 percent more compared to the same period of last year, the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Turkey told Trend.
On average, the turnover of goods on domestic flights amounted to 10,072 tons (an increase of 44 percent on annual basis), on international - 2,359 tons (a decrease of 7 percent).
The passenger traffic at the airport amounted to 1.09 million people, an increase of 23 percent. At the same time, the passenger traffic on domestic flights amounted to 1.01 million people (an increase of 28 percent), on international - 82,667 people (a decrease of 19 percent).
“The number of flights performed was 10,109, a growth of 9 percent. At the same time, the number of flights performed on domestic lines was 9,346 (an increase of 12 percent), on international lines - 763 (a decrease of 15 percent),” said the report.
The passenger traffic at all airports in Turkey amounted to 75.5 million people, and the turnover of goods – 2.09 million tons.
