As many as 5,270 vehicles were delivered from the Turkish port of Haydarpasa (in Istanbul) to the Ukrainian port of Chernomorsk from January through September 2021, and 3,940 in the opposite direction, the Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure told Trend.
Thus, the total number of vehicles transported between the two ports in the reporting period amounted to 9,210.
In the first nine months of this year, Turkish ports handled over 1.5 million vehicles, and Ro-Ro ships delivered 933,445 vehicles to the ports.
Some 572,609 vehicles were sent from the ports of Turkey by Ro-Ro ships in 9M2021.
In September of this year, Turkish ports handled a total of 160,501 vehicles, and Ro-Ro ships delivered 107,192 vehicles to the ports.
Meanwhile, 53,309 vehicles were sent from the Turkish ports.
