Türkiye discloses volume of grain transshipment via local ports for 10M2022

BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 1. Turkish ports handled over 11.38 million tons of grain from January through October 2022, Türkiye’s Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure told TurkicWorld, Trend reports on December 1.

According to the ministry, in the reporting period, Turkish-flagged ships transshipped 348,424 tons of grain, and ships flying the flags of other countries – over 11.03 million tons.

Meanwhile, 57,195 tons of grain were transported in transit through Turkish ports.

More than 330 million tons of cargo were totally transshipped through the ports of Türkiye in the first 10 months of this year.

During the mentioned period, vessels flying the Turkish flag transshipped 23 million tons of cargo.

The volume of cargo transshipped by the vessels flying the flags of other countries totaled 307 million tons.

Moreover, from January through October 2022, the Turkish ports transshipped 66 million tons of transit cargo.
