BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 31. Türkiye's foreign trade turnover reached $48.37 billion in April of this year, Trend reports via the Turkish Ministry of Trade.
The ministry pointed out that in April 2024, Türkiye's exports increased by 0.1 percent compared to the same month in 2023, reaching $19.25 billion, while imports increased by four percent, reaching $29.1 billion.
"From January through April of this year, Türkiye's foreign trade turnover reached $195.9 billion," the ministry said.
The ministry also highlighted that in the mentioned period, Türkiye's exports increased by 2.7 percent compared to the same period in 2023, reaching $82.83 billion, while imports decreased by nine percent, reaching $113 billion.
To note, Türkiye's foreign trade turnover reached $617.5 billion last year.
Türkiye's exports totaled $255.7 billion in 2023, up 0.6 percent compared to the same period in 2022, while imports decreased 0.5 percent to $361.7 billion.
