U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asia, Robert Blake, has arrived in Dushanbe today. At the moment he is meeting with representatives of Tajik civil society and political parties, Avesta information agency reported.
A meeting of President Emomali Rahmon and Robert Blake is expected in the second half of the day. The parties will discuss current issues and prospects of Tajik-U.S. cooperation.
In addition, annual Tajik-U.S. consultations will be held with Blake's participation. It is expected that Blake will meet with media representatives in Dushanbe on February 21 regarding the outcome of his visit to Tajikistan.
