Chairperson of the Majlis (Turkmen Parliament) Akja Nurberdieva has received the credentials from Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the State of Palestine Muhammad Abdullah Tarshahani, the Turkmen government said today.

"The ambassador voiced the desire to fully contribute to the further diversification of the multifaceted cooperation between Turkmenistan and Palestine, as well as to strengthen the relations between their friendly nations," according to the report.

The ambassador was briefed on the key directions of domestic and foreign policy of Turkmenistan and the activity of the local parliament.

Tarshahani was also received at the Turkmen Foreign Ministry.

"The sides exchanged the views on current international issues and intensification of the cooperation between the foreign ministries of Turkmenistan and Palestine," he said. "The sides also discussed the prospects for developing the bilateral cooperation in the trade and economic sphere."
