Ahmadinejad is in the parliament for only a limited amount of time, delivering a speech on the recent happenings in the country.

In particular, speaking of country's economic problems, he criticized the reliance on "oil money" in the state budget, and said that it has been going on since the 70s, and has gotten worse over time.

Iranian president noted that the government established the National Develoment Fund, that is helping to solve this issue, by allocating some amount of the oil revenues into the fund, for further investments.

Ahmadinejad noted that reliance on oil revenues was one of the reasons for inflation in Iran.

Further on, Ahmadinejad slammed the economic plans of the country, noting that major theories and economic models were typical capitals and socialist ones.

The president noted, that the way he sees it, there four options to solve the current situation, and he further disclosed several of those options.

"We need to change the flow of wealth into the country, and make sure that the money are invested into not just one city of Iran, but all over the country, so that it would be equal opportunities for the entire country," Ahmadinejad said.

He further noted that to develop sustainable economic activities in the country, the people of Iran would buy less of gold and foreign currency.

"We should work out a plan so that all the people in the country would have an opportunity to find productive work and be active," Iranian president said.

On October 23,2012, MPs decided to summon Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to parliament to answer a number of questions regarding Iran's economy.

Turbulence in the foreign exchange market, problems gripping the industrial sector, mismanagement in the mining sector, were among the major reasons behind the impeachment moves.
