Iran will allocate $2 million to Armenia to install gas into two of Armenia's border towns, namely Mergi and Agarak, news.am website reported.

A relevant grant programme was approved on March 19 at the meeting of the Armenian government. Just under $500,000 will be allocated by the Armenian side by writing off taxes and duties on imported equipment and pipes.

The relevant agreement between Iranian and Armenian governments was signed in December 2011.
