A bmi plane flying the Baku-London route has made an emergency landing at the Heydar Aliyev International Airport in Baku, a source at the Airport told Trend on Wednesday.
Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) spokesman Maharram Safarli told Trend some 47 passengers and 7 crew members were on board of the plane.
"The plane successfully landed. No victims reported. At present, engineers work to eliminate the existing problems," Safarli said.
The plane made an emergency crash landing in Baku due to problems in the second engine, Safarli said.
The aircraft Airbus 321-200 departed from Baku at 12:08 Baku time.
As bmi airline said, the plane made emergency landing due to problem in one of the engines. At present, work is underway to address the existing problems.
With regard to dispatching the flight passengers, who failed to fly today, the airline said there is no exact information on this matter.
"It is not excluded that it will be possible tomorrow [dispatching of passengers], but now there is no exact information," the company said.
