Azerbaijan, Baku, 12 May / corr Trend Y.Aliyev / The Swiss President Pascal Couchepin's first official visit to Azerbaijan is going on successfully, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev stated in a joint briefing with his Swiss counterpart in Baku on 12 May.
Aliyev attributed the results of one-to-one talks and meeting in large with the participation of government delegations as constructive.
The President voiced his satisfaction with the current level of cooperation and noted the importance of further development. "This visit will give a new impetus to bilateral relations," Azerbaijani President stated.
Couchepin was on an official visit to Azerbaijan from 10 May. Official talks were held on 12 May. No document was signed as a result of meetings.
Couchepin's official visit to Baku will end on 13 May.
