Georgian Prime Minister Nika Gilauri thanked the world community for a full support of Georgia's territorial integrity. Russia actually sought UN recognition of the independence of Abkhazia and South Ossetia, and only after it, it was ready to agree to an extension of the mandate of the UN mission in Abkhazia, Gilauri said at a governmental meeting of Georgia.

"The international community has not supported Moscow's idea, and thus expressed its full support to our country and its integrity," he said.

The premier said that Foreign Minister Grigol Vashadze will inform the people about the details of the UN Security Council meeting.

The governmental meeting is taking place at the building of the State Chancellery at the moment. Ministers entered the building without obstacles after a two-month absence which was connected with the radical opposition's permanent demonstrations. There are opposition camera-cells in front of the State Chancellery building at the moment.
