Azerbaijan, Baku, April 28 / Trend,A. Huseynbala /

According to the head of OSCE Office in Baku, Azerbaijan's law "On freedom of assembly" meets international standards.

"Our organization's proposals also were taken into account while preparing the law, and it reflects the terms related to freedom of assembly," the head of OSCE Office in Baku, Ali Bilge Cankorel said today.

According to him, OSCE provides new recommendations on application of this law.

"We wish more actively participate in the processes of political parties, as well as people's greater activity in election campaigns," Cankorel said.

According to him, today Azerbaijan has problems in the sphere of establishing relations between political parties and people.

"In order to establish these relations, we support provision of great freedom, as it takes pace  in the European countries. I think that in future we will achieve improvements in this field," Cankorel said.

According to Azerbaijan's opposition parties, city authorities must give permission for holding actions in the city center.
