Georgian former First Lady Manana Archvadze Gamsakhurdia has threatened to begin a protest in front of parliament. First President Zviad Gamsakhurdia's widow intends to arrange a rally in front of parliament at 6:00 p.m. local time.
The former first lady demands the release of her son Tsotne Gamsakhurdia, who was sentenced to 9.5 years in prison for attempted murder.
Gamsakhurdia said Tsotne has been on a hunger strike for 20 days.
This is his second hunger strike. The first lasted 43 days after his arrest. He ended his strike only after receiving a visit from Patriarch of All-Georgia Ilia II.
