OSCE: Astana summit is Kazakh priority
Kazakhstan, Astana, July 1 / Trend S.Suleymanov /
The OSCE summit on tolerance and non-discrimination in Astana is a priority for Kazakhstan, OSCE Chairman, Kazakh Secretary of State and Foreign Minister Kanat Saudabayev said at a press conference after the event.
"We will meet our colleagues at an informal ministerial council in Almaty July 16-17. We expect to agree on the agenda, date and venue of the summit," Saudabayev said.
He added that Kazakhstan's chairmanship in the OSCE is halfway over.
Saudabayev added that preliminary results and estimates show that Kazakhstan managed to "shake up the organization" and advance priority goals during the first half of its chairmanship.
