Polish foreign minister: Despite many problems, positive advancements in Georgia are visible

Georgia, Tbilisi, July 13 /Trend, N.Kirtskhalia/

Despite many problems, positive advancements in Georgia are visible. Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski, who is on an official visit to Georgia, said after a meeting with the representatives of the Georgian opposition.

The meeting was attended by the opposition Christian Democrats leader Giorgi Targamadze and chairman of the "Our Georgia - Free Democrats" Party Irakli Alasania.

According to Sikorski, during visits to various countries, such meetings were held with both the current government and the opposition. "This is quite normal. We are interested in how opposition estimates the processes occurring in the country. We are actively involved in European policy and lead the permanent secretariat of the commonwealth of democracy. OSCE election mission headquarters in Warsaw, and we are pleased that the cooperation of the authorities and opposition in Georgia yielded results in the process of improving procedures for conducting elections," said the foreign minister of Poland.
