Azerbaijan, Baku, July 23 / Trend T. Hajiyev /
Chairman of Azerbaijani opposition party said that he will not accept the union of opposition parties on the request from outside.
"I have always been a supporter of the opposition union to be held sincerely and on its own free will. I will not accept its union from outside," chairman of Civil Solidarity Party, MP Sabir Rustamkhanli, told Trend.
Musavat Party head Isa Gambar proposed to create a single party, by joining Azerbaijani People's Front with Musavat at the event dedicated to the 21-st anniversary of Azerbaijani People's Front July 15. Negotiations on this proposal are underway.
Rustamkhanli said that one can see how they relate to the national interests of Azerbaijan and how they take into account these interests towards the external forces to the Karabakh problem. He said that if the opposition wants to unite sincerely, then this is important process.
"The opposition in any normal country, if there is no strong opposition, who will talk about all the problems of society, protect the violated rights of people, will try for the country to be managed properly. If there is no strong opposition protecting certain national ideas, normal development of the country is out of question, " Rustamkhanli said.
