Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has today received credentials of incoming ambassador of Germany, Heidrun Tempel.
The Ambassador extended congratulations and her best wishes to President Ilham Aliyev and the people of Azerbaijan on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr.
Heidrun Tempel said she would spare no efforts to contribute to ensuring overall expansion of Germany-Azerbaijan relations during her tenure in Baku.
President Ilham Aliyev praised the relations between the two countries. The President said Azerbaijan and Germany had maintained active cooperation for many years, adding there was mutual interest in expanding this collaboration.
The Head of State noted there was big potential for developing the Azerbaijan-Germany relations, and expressed confidence the incoming Ambassador would contribute to strengthening these relations.
The sides also discussed issues of cooperation with respect to the European Union, Southern corridor, non-oil sector and mutual investment making.
