BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 6. The export of non-oil products from Qom province, located in the north of Iran, amounted to 12,000 tons worth about $10.3 million in the 1st month of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through April 20, 2024), the Director General of the Customs Administration of Iran's Qom Province, Esfandiar Derikvandi said, Trend reports.
He claimed that the province of Qom exported 30 different types of goods, including footwear, pellets, lead, polyester, chemical products, and foodstuffs.
Derikvandi noted that 22 countries, including Iraq, Pakistan, Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, and Russia, import regional products.
According to the official, Qom province imported 3,000 tons of goods worth $11.4 million in the first month.
Meanwhile, during the last Iranian year (from March 21, 2023, through March 19, 2024), non-oil exports from Qom province, located in northern Iran, amounted to 242,000 tons worth about $233 million.
To note, according to the statistics of the Iranian Customs Administration, in the first month of the current Iranian year, Iran's non-oil exports amounted to 9.7 million tons worth $3.17 billion. In the first month, Iran's non-oil exports decreased by 16.9 percent in value terms and 9.66 percent in weight terms compared to the same month last year.
