SUSHA, Azerbaijan, July 4. The peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia is moving in a positive direction,CEO of the Institute of Political Studies Sergei Markov told Trend on the sidelines of the Second Shusha Global Media Forum on the topic “Exposing false narratives: combating disinformation”.
"It would probably be possible to sign a peace treaty at COP29 in November, but the Armenian leadership is hesitant. They do not dare to make any amendments to the Constitution, which is absolutely necessary," he added.
Further, Markov noted that the forum is of great importance.
"We are grateful to Azerbaijan and President Ilham Aliyev for
their contribution to the global development of humanity.
After all, this is where the global problem is being solved. A
global problem cannot be solved in the abstract. We see that many
media outlets around the world are turning into disinformation
outlets. Instead of uniting peoples, they quarrel between peoples.
A huge amount of fake news is being spread," Markov said.
