In June 2006, the State Border Guard Service (SBGS) of Azerbaijan prevented 14 attempts of trespassing the governmental border. As a result, 8 citizens of Iran, 4 of Azerbaijan, 4 of Georgia and 3 of Pakistan and 3 of Afghanistan have been apprehended, Trend reports with reference to SBGS release.
Besides, 48 wanted persons have been apprehended on the border, some firearms have been seized.
In the struggle against illegal migration, 15 Azerbaijanis, 10 citizens of Hong King, Iran, Turkey, Israel and Malaysia were apprehended with fake documents. 7 citizens of Azerbaijan and Georgia were apprehended with documents belonging to others. 53 citizens of various countries were apprehended due to lack of necessary documents.
