The Chairman of Milli Majlis [Azerbaijani Parliament] Oktay Asadov participates in measures in relation with the 65th Anniversary of Babi Yar tragedy that is held on September 27 in the Ukraine, Sabuhi Temirov, Advisor of Azerbaijani Embassy in Ukraine exclusively told Trend.
In connection with this date, an international forum Let My People Live is held in Kiev, which brings together representatives of more than 50 countries. The invited guests include the presidents, prime ministers, heads of parliaments, representatives of the European royal houses and several international organizations. On September 26, the participants of the forum stand in memory of the victims of Babi Yar, Temirov stressed.
The program of the Azerbaijani Parliament Speaker includes participation in the ceremonial welcome in the Opera Theatre and a reception organized in honour of the high-ranking guest, on behalf of the Ukrainian President Victor Yushenka.
The head of the Azerbaijani Parliament may meet with the President of Ukraine, as well as the heads of the delegations of other countries.
