The President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev is in Sheki district of Azerbaijan on a visit, Trend reports quoting AzTV channel.
The gross capacity of the electric power station, which had begun to be built on 14 October 2005, equals 87 mVt and it is already ready for exploitation. The general contractor of the construction is Finnish Wartsila, subcontractor for electrical equipments Swiss ABB, and subcontractor for construction works local Azenko.
The station will cover the demands of the inhabitants of Sheki, Gakh, Balaken and Oguz, and this will create conditions for the development of extra industrial and non-industrial facilities.
After opening of the station, Aliyev held a meeting with the local community. In addition, the President is expected to visit the local Hotel Saray that has been reconstructed with a new type.
