The President of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan, Rovnak Abdullayev, said on February 7, 2007 that BP Azerbaijan Company will renew the production in the gaseous condensate field Shah Deniz on February 25-26, 2007, Trend reports.
Presently the work is being carried out to resolve problems in the first pre-drilling well and connect it with the platform of the second pre-drilling well. The first pre-drilling well had been stopped as a result of the problems emerged in it. 8,6 bln cu.m of gas will be produced annually within Phase-1 of the project on development of Shah Deniz. 5,4-5,6 bln cu.m of gas will be produced in 2007 from Shah Deniz.
