Chairman and Members of Karabakh Liberation Organization Arrested due to Armenians’ Arrival in Baku

Azerbaijan, Baku / corr Trend E.Huseynli / The Azerbaijani police detained the chairman and some members of the Karabakh Liberation Organization (KLO) who threatened to protest the visit of the representatives of the Armenian Internal Affairs Ministry, the spokesman of KLO said on 5 September.

The Session of the Internal Affairs Ministries of a United Independent Country will be held in Baku from 6 to 7 September. The Armenian Internal Affairs Ministry will take part in the session. The KLO is against Armenians visiting Azerbaijan, with who Azerbaijan has been in war for the last twenty years.

Twenty officers in civilian clothes from the sixteenth police precinct of the Nariman District in Baku surrounded a car in front of the KLO office. Akif Nagi, the Chairman of the KLO and other members have been detained and delivered to the police precinct.

The Nariman District police administration did not provide any information regarding the event.
