Azerbaijan, Baku /corr. Trend K.Zarbaliyeva / The Sabail District Court of Baku has provided permission for the former member of the Azerbaijani Parliament, Huseyn Abdullayev, to travel to Germany for treatment. The decision was made during the session of the Sabail District Court presided over by the Judge Famil Nasibov.
Abdullayev's lawyer Javanshir Suleymanov, reported to Trend that the court satisfied the lawsuit of the former MP against the Department of Court Controllers and Executers of the Sabail District Court. According to the lawyer, Abdullayev has serious health problems.
As there is a conditional conviction with regards to Huseyn Abdullayev, the Department of Court Controllers and Executers did not permit Abdullayev to travel abroad. On 18 May Abdullayev was sentenced to two years conditional imprisonment and was released at the court hall of Sabail District Court. Immunity of the Deputy was canceled by the Prosecutor General at the meeting of Milli Mejlis (Azerbaijani Parliament) on 19 March scheduled simply to deal with the issue. He was detained on the same day. Criminal proceedings have been instituted in the Investigation Department on Heinous Crimes at the General Office of the Public Prosecutor in compliance with Articles 132.9 (assault and battery) and Article 221.2.2 (hooliganism) of the Criminal Code. At the end of the investigation, Article 132 was removed from the case and the MP was charged in compliance with the Article 221.2.2 and Article 128 (inflicting light damage to healthy).
