British Council to Continue its Projects in Azerbaijan by 2011
Azerbaijan, Baku, 13 March / corr Trend J.Babayeva / The British Council will continue cooperation with the Azerbaijani Education Ministry by 2011, Misir Mardanov, the Azerbaijani Education Minister, told journalists in Baku on 13 March.
Within the framework of the project carried out between the Azerbaijani Education Ministry and the British Council since 1993, over 1,000 English teachers from Azerbaijani schools attended improvement training. Over 50,000 teachers and students participated in these projects.
Mardanov presented Andy Williams, the former head of Azerbaijani Office of the British Council, a diploma of the Ministry 'For Services in Development of Education in Azerbaijan'.
Nicole de Lallouvier, who is to replace Williams in this post, will undertake her office duties in mid-May.
