Trial over ex-employees of interior ministry launched in Azerbaijan

Trial towards former employees of the interior ministry committed military attacks was launched in the serious crime court in Azerbaijan. Judge Alovsat Abbasov conducted the trial. 

State prosecutor Chingiz Shukurlu announced indictment, Trend reported. After statements of state prosecutor, ex-head of the department for combat with brigandage and terrorism of Yasamal region police department Mehdi Amiraliyev. He operated at other high-ranking positions. Amiraliyev admitted his guilty on advanced accusations.

Other accused gave evidence during process. Six policemen admitted themselves guilty on advanced accusations. Trial will continue on July 9.

As a result of operative actions conducted by employees of the national security ministry of Azerbaijan, Mehdi Amiraliyev was arrested on September 26. He took high-ranking positions in department for combat with terrorism and brigandage of Yasamal region police department, as well as head of Narimanov region police department N18.

Other two people taking high-ranking position in the interior ministry - Iraj Nasrullayev and Jeyhun Garayev, as well as ex-employee of Narimanov region police department Ramiz Musayev. Policemen Ismail Feyziyev and Siraj.

They were accused on the following articles 181.2.1, 181.2.3, 181.2.4, 181.3.2, 181.2.5 (разбой) и 29,120.2.2, 29,120.2.4, 29,120.2.6, 29,120.2.9, 29,120.2.11 (attempt of premeditated murder) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan.

Policemen attacked exchanges centers in Baku over 1998-2008. They robbed big amount of money by threatening employees with gun.
