Azerbaijan launched trial process on soldiers accused of premeditated murder.
The Azerbaijani Heinous Crimes Court held a preparatory meeting on the criminal case on Azerbaijani soldier Elmar Sadigov.
Judicial review is scheduled for Feb.1.
Sadigov was enlisted into the military by the Military Commissariat of the Tovuz region. While serving in Military Unit No.N outside the Jojugmarjanli village in the Jabrail region he shot his fellow Rza Mekhdiyev May 17, 2009.
Sadigov is charged under articles 120.2.2 (deliberate murder committed from hooligan prompting), 332.3 (Infringement of authorized rules on mutual relation between military men at absence of subordination relations), 338.1 (Infringement of rules on implementing fighting watch (fighting service) on duly detection and reflection of sudden attack on the Azerbaijan Republic or maintenance of its safety if this act could harm interests of safety of the state) of the Criminal Code.
