Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev expressed his condolences to French counterpart Francois Hollande in connection with the numerous human casualties as a result of a road accident in the country.
"Dear Mr President,
I was deeply saddened by the news of a heavy loss of life as a result of a transport accident," the letter says.
"On the occasion of the tragedy, on behalf of the people of Azerbaijan and on my own behalf I extend my deep condolences to you, families and loved ones of those who died and the whole people of France, and wish those injured soonest recovery," the letter says.
