Over the last 15 years 85 infant schools were closed in Azerbaijan due to problems in heat and food supply, the Azerbaijani Education ministry told Trend.
45 infants schools located in Baku, 242 - occupied territories. Besides, 1,683 refugee families live at the infant schools in different regions and towns. Only in Baku this figure comprises 737.
At present 1,761 infant schools exist in the country with 1,692 schools functioning in the balance of the Education Ministry.
The state program on improvement of the infant pre-school education was submitted to the Cabinet of Ministers.
