The state will increase the attention towards solving the problems of journalism, Arastun Mehdiyev, deputy chief of social-political department of Executive office of Azerbaijan president, told, delivering a report at the round table The role of press in creation of information society, Trend reports.
He said that according to statistics, around 3000 mass medias have entered into official registration in Azerbaijan within May 2006. The country is provided by 12 regional and 6 republic TV channels, 9 broadcastings and 29 news agencies, he added.
According to Mehdiyev, up to now, the state has taken no concrete measures for resolving the problems of media. This policy will be continued, told.
