BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 16. Steel exports from Turkiye to Kyrgyzstan increased by 27.8 percent from January through May 2022 compared to the same period last year and amounted to $8.2 million, the Turkish Ministry of Trade told TurkicWorld, Trend reports.
"Turkiye exported steel to Kyrgyzstan in the amount of $2.9 million in May 2022, which is 327.7 percent more than in May last year," the ministry said.
Steel exports from Turkiye increased by 34.6 percent from January through May 2022 compared to the same period last year and amounted to $9.6 billion.
Turkiye exported $1.9 billion worth of steel in May this year, up 11 percent from May last year.
According to the ministry, Turkiye exported $24.8 billion worth of steel over the past 12 months (from May 2021 through May 2022).
