BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 28. The Economic Growth Working Group convened for a regular meeting to review progress on the 2024 objectives outlined in the "Socio-economic development strategy for 2022-2026," the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan told Trend.
According to the ministry, the meeting was chaired by Deputy Minister of Economy Samad Bashirli, who emphasized the importance of measures taken in 2024 under the strategy to ensure sustainable and competitive development of the country.
"Results achieved in the key areas covered by the working group were presented.
Azerbaijan's Deputy Executive Director of the Center for Economic Reforms Analysis and Communication, Ayyaz Musayev, reported on the implementation of these measures.
Deputy Chairperson of the working group, Orkhan Sadigov, Head of the Monitoring and Evaluation Department at the Center for Economic Reforms Analysis and Communication, presented the 2024 monitoring and evaluation report on the measures outlined in the strategy. He also discussed emerging challenges and suggested recommendations for overcoming them.
During the meeting, members of the working group and representatives from relevant government agencies discussed the 2024 report. Opinions and proposals were heard, recommendations were made to enhance the effectiveness of implementation, and key challenges were identified along with next steps," the ministry noted.
The Economic Growth Working Group was established to ensure the complete, timely, and effective implementation of measures outlined in the "Socio-economic development strategy for 2022-2026 of the Republic of Azerbaijan," particularly under the objectives of "Sustainable and High Economic Growth" and "Balanced Development of the Capital and Regions," as well as to coordinate the activities of the relevant government agencies.
