Azerbaijani construction company talks progress of road project in Europe

Azerbaijan's construction company AzVIRT continues implementing a road project in Serbia, the company told Trend.

According to the source, the company has fully completed the mobilization work under the project for the reconstruction of the highway in this European country. Excavation work has begun under the project at the moment.

“Earthwork is planned to be completed by the beginning of next year. According to our estimates, the work is being carried out in accordance with the previously planned schedule. In the first months of next year, reconstruction work should begin, which will be completed within the next three to four months of 2020,” the source said.

The project provides for the construction of roads and related road infrastructure in Serbia and is the second project implemented by an Azerbaijani company in this country.

"The cost of the project is 207 million euros, it is financed by one of the largest Chinese banks," the company said, noting that along with AzVIRT, Chinese specialists are involved in the road project.

AzVIRT is one of the well-known road construction contractors in Azerbaijan and is engaged in the construction of roads, runways, airports.

In addition to the construction and design of roads and large facilities, the company also produces building materials, including asphalt mixes, fractional gravel, activated mineral powder.
