Poland Propose Assistance to Azerbaijan in Approximation of Legislation to meet WTO’s Demands

Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. I.Khalilova / The Polish Government appealed to Azerbaijan with two new initiatives, to cooperate to train Azerbaijan to join the World Trade Organization (WTO) and European Union. These proposals were made by the Polish Minister of Economy, Petr Voznak, during the Economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and Poland -chances and prospects workshop. The workshop was held in Baku on 8 November.

"We want Azerbaijan join WTO as soon as possible. The cooperation to be based on partnership and exchange of experience. Poland proposed assistance to expertise the Azerbaijani legislation which should meet WTO's demands," Voznak said.

The Polish Agriculture Minister, Yan Kshishtov Ardanovski, said the Ministry was ready to exchange experience in veterinary and sanitary norms and products security spheres.

"We can say about the concrete mistakes your country avoid in order to join the organization," Ardanovski said.

Azerbaijani Minister of Economic Development, Heydar Babayev, informed about good experience of Poland in approximation of legislation to WTO's demands.
