The energy systems of the CIS member states are ready of the autumn-winter heating season, Sergei Shmatko, Energy Minister of Russia, President of the CIS Electric Energy Council, said at a session of the Council in Minsk October 24, reported Belta.
"The CIS countries have informed about the preparedness of their energy systems for the 2008/2009 autumn-winter season," he said. The power engineering industries of the CIS countries have been rapidly developing; new facilities are put in operation, he added.
The session also focused on the issues of possible impact of the world financial crisis on the real production sector, Sergei Shmatko said.
