The first certified members of the Azerbaijan Appraisers Society will appear in March-April, the society's Executive Director Elchin Samadli said on Feb. 20.
"Certificates will be issued to appraisers after passing two-stage examinations," Samadli said.
Samadli said that the first examination will be a written form and the second - oral. Roughly 200 questions will be developed for the examinations.
"The certified appraisers will contribute to general development of quality of appraisal activity in the country," Samadli said.
Licensing appraisal activity was stopped in Azerbaijan in 2002.
The Azerbaijan Appraisers Society was registered in 1997. The society is a public organization which unites all appraisers in Azerbaijan. A total of 80 individuals and 7 companies are members of the Azerbaijan Appraisers Society.
The Law on Appraisal Activity which was adopted in 1995 regulates appraisal activity in Azerbaijan.
