Turkish ship pays 65,000 lari of fine in Georgia

The Turkish TUGRUL S-1 ship has paid 65,000 lari of fine in accordance with the decision of the port of Poti. Under the Administrative Code of Georgia, the ship had to pay 65,000 lari of fine.

The ship had to compensate the damage to the environment in the amount of 6,160 lari, the Georgian Border Police said.

On May 11, border guards together with the Black Sea Protection Convention Inspection officials detained the Turkish ship due to pollution of the environment in the port of Poti.
