Microfinance volumes increase in Azerbaijan

The total assets of the Azerbaijani Microfinance Association's (AMFA) members in early March were $3.393 billion compared to $3.405 billion Feb. 1, the AMFA reported.

The number of credit institution employees working in microfinance was 7,071.

The organizations' total loan portfolio was $2.12 billion compared to $2.13 billion Feb.1. The number of active clients was 430,266. The portfolio's share of risk was 7.83 percent, while the volume of written-off loans in early March totaled $2.64 million.

The total micro-credit portfolio was $449.2 million.

To date, AMFA comprises 31 credit organizations, including 13 banks.
