Over 540 kilograms of expired products revealed in Azerbaijan

The State Service for Antimonopoly Policy and Consumer Protection under the Azerbaijani Ministry of Economic Development during the regular monitoring of the consumer market identified, removed from sale and destroyed 546 kilograms of expired products, the ministry said.

The State Service for Antimonopoly Policy and Consumer Protection under the Azerbaijani Ministry of Economic Development during the regular monitoring of the consumer market identified, removed from sale and destroyed 546 kilograms of expired products, the ministry said.

Monitoring were conducted in Yasamal, Sabail, Binagadi, Sabunchu, Nasimi, Nizami and Khatai districts of Baku, Ganja, Khachmaz, Zardab, Shamkir, Goygol, Agdash, Terter and Ujar regions, as well as Mehdiabad settlement of Absheron district.

Expired products - sausage, pastry, butter, milk and dairy products, canned products, fish and seafood, soft drinks, beer and baby food were confiscated.

Administrative measures will be applied towards physical and legal entities - violators of consumer rights.
