Russia and Georgia failed again to reach an agreement on Russia's accession to the WTO at the next round of talks on Oct. 20, head of the Georgian delegation, Deputy Foreign Minister Sergi Kapanadze told Georgian journalists.

"This meeting once again yielded no result. The issue has not progressed," he said.

Kapanadze said that the negotiations will continue next week. "We have agreed that another meeting will take place early next week," he said.

Earlier Georgia claimed that it can not approve Russia's accession to the WTO if Moscow does not agree to allow international observers to the Russian-Georgian border. If a dispute between Russia and Georgia is resolved, then, according to the negotiation participants, Russia will be able to join the WTO in December 2011.
