Georgian National Bank’s international reserves decrease by $38.3 mln

The international reserves of the National Bank of Georgia amounted to $2.818 billion as of Dec. 31. As the National Bank of Georgia told Trend, the figure fell by $38.3 million during the month compared with the figure for Nov.30, 2011.

At the same time in 2011 international reserves of the National Bank of Georgia increased by $554.6 million.

International reserves converted into foreign currency hit $2.595 billion, including placed in securities - 1.593 billion and accounts of foreign banks and the IMF - $1.001 billion. The amount of funds placed in the SDR hits $223.5 million, and the IMF reserve position is $15,400.
