The Turkish Economy Ministry has finished preparing a bill allowing foreigners to acquire land property in Turkey, the ministry told Trend.

"It is expected to introduce the bill to parliament at the next stage," the ministry said.

If the law is adopted, all foreign nationals, including Azerbaijani citizens, will be able to acquire land in Turkey, the ministry said.

Economy Minister Zafer Caglayan said the work to simplify the process is almost completed.

Caglayan noted that foreigners wishing to buy land will be able to purchase land in Turkey due to the new law, which will facilitate the inflow of new investments into the economy.

The ministry also noted that earlier only citizens of countries in which Turkish citizens can buy land could buy property in Turkey.

There are many Azerbaijani citizens who wants to buy land in Turkey, the ministry noted.
