Georgian foreign trade turnover increases by eight per cent in January

Georgian foreign trade turnover amounted to $647 million (excluding non-organized trade) in Jan, 2012, the National Statistics Office of Georgia said on Thursday.

This is 8 per cent more compared to Jan, 2011.

Exports amounted to $157 million, or 5 per cent more compared to Jan, 2011.

Imports amounted to $490 million, or 8 per cent more compared to Jan, 2011.

Negative balance amounted to $333 million.
